A labyrinth made of scaffolding elements is erected in a space resembling a cellar. Numerous horizontal floors and levels, sometimes sealed off at their sides, form a tunnel system containing different cells and passageways. Unenclosed monitors positioned at six points along the route afford a view into the interior of these cells: here people lie and crouch together, entangled in one another; they meet, pause, and then crawl farther into the “labyrinth”.

The light boxes (silkscreen printing on Plexiglas, in aluminum frames) are installed in the open staircase as a dynamic vertical band. The brightness and rhythmic choreography of the lamps are determined by the intensity of the rays of sunlight.
